Pieces

John's on his back, legs spread, another man pressing inside him, something he never thought he'd do, never thought he'd want.

He can't decide which is scarier doing it or wanting it. "Rodney."

"Do you want me to stop? I can stop. It's not a problem."

Rodney has stumbled, blustered and just plain barged past each one of John's walls and instead of pushing him back, John's handed over pieces of himself, his faith, his trust, his heart. But Rodney hasn't kept them, he's shared them with John as if they weren't John's to begin with.

Maybe it's the sharing which makes him shake his head and whisper, "Just kiss me."

Smiling, Rodney leans down, presses his lips to John's, and hands over a piece of himself.
